Abstract

5개의 건조 두개골의 상악동 후벽에 상내부, 상외부, 중앙부, 하내부, 하외부 등 다섯 부위
를 선정하여 round bur로 우측상악동에는 5㎜, 좌측 상악동에는 10㎜의 골 파괴를 한 각 부
위에 형성한 후 파노라마 사진, 파노라마 상악동 사진, waters'사진 그리 고 전산화단층사진
을 촬영하여 얻은 방사선 사진상에서 각 부위의 골 파괴 판독 가능 정도를 비교하여 다음과
같은 결론을 얻었다.
1. 상악동 후벽의 골파괴상을 관찰하는데에는 파노라마 사진이 파노라마 상악동 사진보다
더 우수했다.
2. 파노라마 사진, 파노라마 상악동 사진, 그리고 waters'사진은 상악동 후벽을 관찰하는
데에는 한계가 있었다.
3. 전산화단층사진은 상악동 후벽의 골파괴 상을 관찰하는데 매우 우수하였다.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ability of radiographs in detecting
experimental bony defect in the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus.
For this study, experimentally five skulls were used, the bony defects with a diameter
of 5mm were created at different locations in the posterior wall of the right maxillary
sinus and the bony defects of 10mm were created at different locations in the posterior
wall of th maxillary sinus.
panoramic view, panoramic sinus view, water's view, and computed tomogram were
taken and the results analyzed.
The obtanined results were as follows:
1. The Panoramic view was superior to the panoramic sinus view in detecting the
bony defects in the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus.
2. Panoramic view, panoramic sinus view, and waters's view were limitation to the
detection of the bony defects in the posterior wall of the maillary sinus.
3. All the bony defects in the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus were excellently
visualized on the computed tomogram.
